Dunkirk Community Parks


All Dunkirk parks are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Charlie H. Lyon Memorial Park
County Road N, south of the Leslie Road/County Road N intersection
Lyon Park is open shoreline along the Yahara River near the Dunkirk Dam. It's a beautiful spot visited by fishermen. A parking lot is located on the southern end of the park.

Anderson Avenue Park
Anderson Avenue, east of Racetrack Road
Anderson Avenue Park consists of an open, sunny lawn with play equipment for young children and basketball hoops.

Pleasant View Drive Park
Pleasant View Drive, northeast of Fox Prairie Elementary School and South Avenue
Pleasant View Drive Park offers soccer fields, basketball hoops, and play equipment.

Rolling Acres Park
Ash Street, on the northern end of the street
Rolling Acres Park provides a tennis court as well as play equipment in the shade of nearby trees.

At the Ash Street and Tareyton Circle intersection
Ash Street Park includes a soccer field, basketball hoop and play equipment.

Riverwood Estates Park
At the Riverside Drive and Westchester Circle intersection
Riverwood Estates Park is located on the Yahara River and, like Lyon Park, the landscape is beautiful. Located under a grove of towering oak trees, Riverside Estates Park has play equipment and a lawn in the shade as well as a small but scenic space along the river.



Viking County Park

Viking Park is a Dane County Park that offers a small picnic shelter, a nature trail, dog exercise area, and shoreline fishing. A trail connects the park to nearby Stoughton. The park can be reached by driving north on County Highway N from US Highway 51 in Stoughton.

Lake Kegonsa State Park

Lake Kegonsa State Park is located just north of Dunkirk. This 342-acre park offers opportunities for camping, hiking, swimming, and boating as it sits beside Lake Kegonsa. This park can be accessed by taking County Highway N north. Turn left on Circle Drive, which becomes Williams Point Drive. Go right on Door Creek Road to find the park entrance on the left.

The Stoughton Conservation Club is a private organization for sportsmen that offers a rifle range as well as leagues for pistol, trap, skeet, indoor bow and outdoor bow.

Madison Retriever Club

The Madison Retriever Club was formed in the early 1950's. The purpose of the club is to promote the training of purebred retrievers to bring their natural qualities to perfection, and to protect and advance the interests of retrievers by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at field trials and hunt tests.
