Burn Ban in Effect

The Fire Chief has issued a ban on controlled burns in the Stoughton Fire Department Coverage area including the Town of Dunkirk until further notice beginning immediately and until further notice.

This ban is due to the extremely dry conditions with no significant precipitation in sight as well as the large number of large scale brush fires in the State of Wisconsin and Dane County. Any questions relating to this issue can be directed to the Stoughton Fire Department.
